What this policy covers

This policy explains what Choicer Voicer Live ("we", "us", "the site") does with information you provide or that we collect when you use choicervoicer.live. It applies to the website, the browser game, and the Multiplayer and Upload Video features.

What we collect

Things you give us directly

• Email address when you sign in with Google or use the contact form.
• Messages you send through the contact form.
• Dub Pack submissions if you choose to publish a scene with us.

Things the site records automatically

• Page views and clicks via a self-hosted Plausible Analytics instance (data.1back.link). Plausible is cookieless and does not track individuals across sites.
• Aggregate game scores when you sign in and submit a score. We keep your best score per Dub Pack and show you on the public Rankings.
• Error logs and stack traces if the studio fails. We use these to fix bugs, not to track you.

What we do NOT collect

• Your voice recordings, unless you sign in and submit a take to a Multiplayer room or Upload Video project. Local practice takes stay on your device.
• Your microphone audio when you are not recording. We never listen in.
• Cross-site advertising identifiers, third-party cookies, or fingerprinting.

Microphone access

The browser asks for microphone permission only when you press Record. We do not record before you press Record, and we do not store audio after a take finishes unless you explicitly submit it. You can revoke microphone access at any time in your browser settings.

Local recording, imports, and video export

Quick Take and Mimic Party recordings are processed in your browser and stay on your device. When you import a ZIP Dub Pack, its video, audio, and dialogue are stored in your browser's IndexedDB on that device; the files are not uploaded to us. When you export a branded MP4, the scene is rendered and converted locally in your browser, then downloaded directly to your device.

We cannot access, recover, or delete these local files for you. You can remove them by clearing this site's stored data in your browser. A challenge link contains the selected pack, line number, and score only — it does not contain your recording.

Cookies and local storage

The site uses a small number of first-party localStorage entries to remember UI preferences (selected Dub Pack, microphone choice, room slot). Plausible Analytics is cookieless. We do not use third-party cookies for advertising or tracking.

Multiplayer rooms

If you join a Multiplayer room, the host can see your display name, the lines you've recorded, and your take for review. Recordings stay tied to the room until it expires (72 hours) or the host finalizes. We delete expired rooms and unreferenced recordings automatically.

Uploaded videos

If you sign in and use the Upload Video flow, your MP4 is stored in our Supabase Storage bucket for up to 30 days. We use it to render your dub and to provide a download link. You can delete your upload at any time from the Account page.

Children

Choicer Voicer Live is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has signed in, contact us and we'll remove the account.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or close your account. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a material way, we'll post a notice on the homepage for at least 14 days and update the "Last updated" date above.
